An amazing premiere at Dragon Con, thanks to the team at Dragon Con Video Gaming and Dragon Con LAN Gaming for the opportunity.

This was our full “Convention Mode” layout and included new DMX lighting, pipe and drape backdrop with ambient lighting, 8+ touchscreens, and a Dreadnaught class ship with two fighters.

A quick clip of it at the 1:00 mark here:

Mission Details

WHERE: Dragon Con 2016, Atlanta, GA

WHEN: Sep 2-5, 2016
VENUE: Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, 6th floor, Chastain J
The LTE Bridge visited Dragon Con 2016, the 30th anniversary of the largest multi-media/pop culture convention in the known universe! We had 50+ mission times and over 300 guests participate during the 4-day weekend. We ran a few different configurations:
  • Crash Course: 30 minute introductory mission intended for new players.
  • Border War: 60 minute mission with advanced difficulty rankings, and possible “extras!”
  • Other session times were by invitation or private appointment only.
Missions launched every 45 minutes, which provided a good buffer time between sessions. Crews were encouraged to arrive early and watch training videos or observe the mission in progress. Audience seating was provided for over 20 guests, plus standing room.

I’ve been doing DragonCon for over a decade, and I’ll say that this year, your Artemis Bridge was the highlight! – tpeacock, Artemis Forums

My friends and I just emailed [the Dragon Con staff] to say we loved having Artemis here, and if this isn’t here next year, we ain’t gonna be here! – Anonymous guest

You know it’s been a good weekend when…

The room is this full, pretty much all the time

Great fans like this group of Spaceballs pull in standing-room only audiences.

Richard Garriott plays on your spaceship bridge simulator, in costume as Lord British.
